CAR RENTAL
Most of our guests like to rent a car for all or part of their stay in order to explore the island, shop and to enjoy their holiday. To avoid disappointment, you should reserve a vehicle in advance since they may be scarce. Ask Reservations for suggested car rental companies.

CLIMATE
Constant easterly breezes keep life comfortable, with the coolest winter months averaging in the mid 70s to low 80s fahrenheit and the low 90s in warm months in the late summer. An average annual rainfall of only 40 inches assures us plenty of sunny days.
CURRENCY
The island currency is the US dollar. British pounds or Canadian dollars can be exchanged at the local banks. Most merchants accept US dollar traveler's cheques or American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa credit cards.
CUSTOMS/IMPORT
Visitors may bring in duty free for their own use one carton of cigarettes or cigars, one bottle of liquor and some perfume. Firearms, controlled drugs and pornography are strictly forbidden.
DEPARTURE TAX
An airport taxi of $15 is levied on persons over 12 years.
DRESS CODE
Casual, lightweight clothing. Guests wear swim suits around the resort in the daytime but swim wear is not appropriate in public places. Topless or nude sunbathing or swimming is also considered inappropriate. In the evenings some restaurants prefer that men wear slacks but jackets are rarely required.
