We Stayed in the penthouse that is very spacious with an amazing view of the ocean. Directly outside is the best snorkeling ever! We swam with turtles and saw the most beautiful array of fish, stingrays, eels and coral. The staff was very gracious especially Prince, Jerome and Jaya. This rainbow we woke up to one morning says it all.

We stayed in a Grand Oceanfront 2 bedroom 2 bath room 2101/2102. On the way to the resort we stopped at the grocery store approx 5min away and loaded up on snacks and vacation food. When we first entered the room, the view and the color of the water took our breath away. The view was spectacular and the unit had large sliding glass patio doors that we had open all the time. We would go to the beach which had reserved seating/umbrellas for guests. Our schedule was wake up, grab some bfast, go to the beach, snorkel, jump in the pool, eat lunch at Somewhere Cafe, go to the room take a nap, then back to the beach, snorkel, jump in the pool, then shower up and go to dinner, then sit on the patio listen to the waves with an evening night cap. The only thing lacking was the lack of water park type amenities like slides and gigantic pools. We really did not miss any of those amenities since snorkeling was onsite and an activities booth is right on the beach if you wanted to get adventurous and parasail.

Booking with Leanne and Jaya was a breeze. Thanks Leanne for everything! Also, a big thanks to Prince and Verne who took care of all our needs and answered our many questions. We stayed in room 4205, a 950sf ocean view one bedroom suite equipped with everything you need. The view from our patio was amazing! We ate most of our meals on the spacious patio, listening to the waves and taking in the breathtaking view and warm breeze. On our second day we went to the Graceway IGA to load up on groceries. The prices were certainly more than the IGA in Canada, but had most of the same food. We had heard the tap water tasted bad, so we brought a Brita water filter with us so we didn’t need to buy plastic jugs of water. The water…

The beach did not disappoint. It was soft and pure white sand and super warm turquoise water. It was also really clean and not crowded at all. We loved walking for miles in either direction. There is a reef directly in front of the resort, but our favorite snorkelling spot was Smith’s reef, about a 30 minute walk down the beach. We saw turtles and tonnes of tropical fish (including a couple barracudas), but on one particular day four giant eagle rays and a nurse shark swam right past me! So cool! Please respect the delicate coral and do not touch it, and wear reef-safe sunscreen everyone!!! For an even better snorkelling experience I would recommend booking an excursion out to the outer reefs.
The grounds of the hotel were beautifully landscaped and clean. The Somewhere Cafe is the perfect beachfront restaurant. Great atmosphere both day and night. The fish tacos are so yummy and filling! I would also recommend Hemmingway’s (a 35min walk down the beach), another beachfront restaurant with amazing atmosphere and food.
We will definitely be returning to Coral Gardens. Tens days just wasn’t enough. Next time we will explore the island more, including a visit to Potcake Place, where you can walk some puppies and support the amazing work they do to help the puppies on the island. Already dreaming of my next visit!

We have stayed at this resort several times and have never been disappointed. This time we were in the Penthouse, #1312 and it is beautiful. The unit is nicely decorated, and the kitchen has many household items making cooking very easy. The views from the very large balcony are stunning - could not get any better! Coral Gardens is located at Bight Reef which is great for snorkelling. Never a problem to get a chair/umbrella at the beach! Having Somewhere Cafe on the property is very convenient, not to mention a great restaurant. All the staff at Coral Gardens are very helpful and personable. Would highly recommend this resort and we look forward to returning next year.

Top floor gives you privacy and a nice breeze & great views from the veranda. Lovely location on Grace Bay and easy access to shops and restaurants. Great place to unwind from the vigours of every day life.

This suite, the best one at Coral Gardens, is large, comfortable, has great air conditioning, flat screen TVs (that we didn’t really watch), good wifi, fully updated bathrooms and kitchen, which was nicely stocked with all the equipment you need, and best of all - a wrap-around terrace that has the best sunset views on the island. Having this large deck with such a spectacular view actually changed our evening dining plans, as we mostly wound up getting takeout dinners and even cooking a couple of nights “at home”. We just did not want to leave before sunset – or during the hour afterward, when the whole sky would put on a show of pinks, reds and purples. Being located on Bight Reef is such a plus, in that we could snorkel anytime we wanted – and did so at least twice a day. So many colorful fish, as well as seeing the resident barracuda, some rays and our favorite sea turtles! I would highly recommend renting a car, so you can go to other beaches and explored the island. Also, you will love staying here so much that you’ll need to get provisions at the nearby IGA on Leeward Highway.

The location of the unit could not have been any better, and the views from the balcony were spectacular. Prior to our trip, I had read some about the reef in front of the property but didn't realize until we got there that it is the place were virtually everyone on that section of Grace Bay goes to snorkel--and it was right outside our door! Staff was friendly and helpful. While the unit was a bit older, it was well maintained and spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed for the minimal cooking we did. The daily maid service was appreciated. Didn't mind the 3 flights of stairs. It forced us to get some exercise after being lazy sitting on the beach all day! The condo definitely contributed to us having a great experience on the island.

It felt like we were the only ones there. Everything was clean and well maintained. The reef right off the beach out front was incredible!

Many thanks to Leanne, Jamy and Jaya. We hope to return next year. Room: Beautifully appointed and wonderful layout with awesome floor to ceiling sliders that were exactly as pictured with oceanfront unobstructed views. Very clean, Dorraine did a great job housekeeping every day and knew we preferred mid morning. Air conditioning worked well and beds were comfortable. Our youngest 2 shared the Sofabed. Kitchen well stocked with wares and utensils. We had breakfast in the room everyday. Location: Perfect if you have a rental car. It is not as busy as the grace bay area and not too secluded either. Nice balance allowing us to visit Smith Reef, Thursday fish fry at the park, and the busier grace bay area for more food options. Ideal location I think. Pool: small but clean and not crowded Beach: absolutely the best part. The reef is right in front and we went out 4 or 5 times a day. Kids loved it and never got bored. Restaurant: Food was very good but menu pretty limited. Great live music in the evenings that ended a little after 9pm so very family friendly. Water is pricey and we drink a lot of water. We brought our own water bottles from the room and they never gave us a hard time. Activities: there is a small souvenir and activity shop onsite for tours fishing sailing parasailing banana boating etc. Concierge: Jamy was a great person to have onsite for recommendations and guidance. Wifi: wifi connection cut out sometimes. Connected to the the router on a higher floor instead which happened to have same password and better connection.

We're not experiences snorkelers and do not dive so I was a little hesitant about what activities we would be doing during our 6 day trip. (We travel quite often outside of the US but have never done a true beach vacation). Coral Gardens is the place to stay! The resort is right in front of the reef where you can literally swim out and see everything from reef sharks, turtles, eagle rays, gorgeous fish......we saw them all. Somewhere Cafe has the best fish tacos on the Island and if you like to have good conversation sit at the bar. All of the bartenders are awesome and if business is slow (which it usually is on Thursday nights because of the Fish fry) you can learn a lot about the locals and the islands. LOCATION The location is perfect. You can literally walk on the beach, each way for miles. We rented a car 3 of the days to go see the entire island. I would recommend doing so as to go out and see everything (Taylor Bay Beach- the most gorgeous beach we have ever seen), have lunch at Kalooki's or even check out the little shopping area at Salt Mills Plaza. FOOD We bought groceries the first day at IGA (which is so expensive) and ended up eating breakfast, lunch a few dinners in the room to save money. If you do rent a car, go to the local grocery store (SMART off of Leeward). We never felt threatened and if you respect the locals, you shouldn't have any issues. Mr. Grouper was the best fish sandwich we have ever had. Somewhere cafe- best fish tacos, Caicos Dream Tours- best conch. Bugaloos- was okay. It seemed a little touristy but the view was gorgeous. (we only at the conch fritters and had some drinks). Da Conch Shack- entertaining, didn't eat here but had the best rum punch on the Island. (on a side note, we ended up buying our own gallon of rum punch from SMART and just brought our own drinks down to the beach, its way cheaper). Froggies On Da Beach- best conversation with either the bartender or owner. She was amazing to speak with and so nice! BOOKING/CONCIERGE We booked through Leanne and had Jammy as our local expert, The experience overall was beyond amazing. There were a few hiccups in the beginning due to us originally going through Expedia. DO NOT DO THIS. If you can find out who the actually owner of the condo is and rent through them, do this instead.
